Prime Minister of India, Modi has invited President-elect of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohammed Solih to India on a state visit.

Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said that Modi gave him the invitation after calling him earlier tonight. Ibrahim Mohammed Solih said that India is one of the closest allies of Maldives and that he told him that he would like that to remain. He said that Modi told him that he would like to solve the problems between the two nations.

In addition, Ibu said that Modi told that he will help to bring stability and development to Maldives.
