Lawyer Hisaan Hussein have said that the case filed by President Yameen at the Supreme Court has no legal basis and that is an emotional case because he cannot accept defeat.

Hisaan said that the President could not accept the results of the election. She said that the president wants to nullify the results of the votes which the people got by exercising their right to vote.

“Today we requested the Chief Justice and other justices of the Supreme Court not to stamp on this right and to judge that this right cannot be violated” said Hisan.

Hisan gave a hopeful news for the people as well. “I hope that the case will end in favor of the results of the 23rd September elections” said Hisan. When she said that hundreds of people gathered at the area rejoiced with happiness.

It is not clear when a judgement will be issued on the matter. However in the next hearing the judges will reach a verdict.
