The people want 11th November to be a an “Eid” full of happiness : Dr.Mausoom

Deputy Leader of JP Dr.Abdullah Mausoom have said that the people of Maldives want 11th November to be an Eid full of happiness and that the people will get that right even if it is through the courts.
Dr.Mausoom said that the people are in need of a day to celebrate and hence it is important that, 11th November is that day. “ The people did not get to enjoy or have fun in the past 5 years. The president lost all his credibility when he changed his mind after conceding. Then also, the people might say at least thank you if he allows President elect Ibrahim Mohammed Solih to take the oath of office on 11th November” said Mausoom.
He further said that, they will try to do it through the courts if President Yameen does not facilitate it. “The court verdict of 2013 is clear on the term of the president. Due to a special circumstance the court allowed to take the oath of office on 17th November” said Mausoom.
Dr.Mausoom said that the people are unhappy due to lack of justice in the society. “After the 23rd September vote even, those things are being solved. We can see that justice being done in all areas” said Mausoom.
In addition he said that MPs of PPM and activists have also congratulated the president-elect and many government institutions are also congratulating him. He said that hence President Yameen is the only person who have not accepted defeat, but he believes that even he will accept defeat very soon.
