Special insurance scheme to be introduced for Hajj and Umra goers

A special insurance scheme has been introduced for Hajj and Umra goers by Ayadi Takaful, the Islamic wing of Allied Insurance.
The Hajj and Umrah insurance plan entitled “Hajj and Umrah Takaful” was inaugurated in a special ceremony held at Hotel Jen by the First Lady Madam Fathimath Ibrahim Didi.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairperson of Hajj Corporation Dr. Aishath Muneeza said that this scheme will be of much benefit for the pilgrims. She said that this scheme will remove many of the concerns of the pilgrims.
The total coverage of the Hajj and Umra Takaful package has been set at MVR 100,000. People departing for Hajj can apply for the package for a fee of MVR 1,000, while those departing for Umra can apply for the package for a fee of MVR 850.
According to Hajj Corporation stated that applicants of the package, will be eligible for medical and other expenses coverage from this package.
