Mathiveri Constituency MP Hussain Mohamed has called on the Parliament and the Government institutions to become more responsible.
Speaking in the Parliament session held on Thursday, Hussain Mohamed said that it was common knowledge among Government agencies and Financial Committee of the Parliament that institutions such as MMPRC had possessed huge amounts of cash. However, he said that no institutions had stepped forward to investigate the issue.
He noted that the issue of Fushidhiggarufalhu had been lying dormant in ACC of years, but now investigation had begun on the issue.
Hussain Mohamed said that this was not the actions of those responsible and accountable for the public. He urged all institutions to adhere to their mandates and serve the public.
