Many Islamic nations took part in the Saudi led defense initiative “North Thunder”. The initiative is one of the biggest defense initiative conducted in the world.

Some of the military commander who took part in the drill, said that the drills showed the alliance between Islamic nations and the expectation that Saudi Arabia can be a global player.

Crown Prince Mohamed bin Nayef had met with leaders, religious scholars and defense leaders after the drills. In the meeting, Prince Naif said that King Salman’s core focus was the peace and stability of Islamic nations, especially Middle East nations. He also said that the King gave extreme importance to economic development of Islamic nations as well.

Prince Naif also noted that the drill had shown that Islamic nations were against terrorism and how much Islamic nations desired peace and stability.
