Nolhivaram sanitation works begin

The sanitation project at HDh. Nolhivaram has begun this morning.
The project was initiated by Minister of Environment and Enegy Thoriq Ibrahim.
Speaking in the ceremony, Minister Thoriq said under the project, sewage networks, pump stations and outflow systems will be created and the project will cost over MVR 78 million.
He said the projects many not proceed at expected rate but he said the Government was fully participating with the public to push these projects ahead.
He also announced that a renewable energy project and a landfill will be created next year.
Speaking in the ceremony, MWSC MD Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed said that based on the current speed, all sanitation works of the island will be completed by next year.
Nolhivaram Council President Abdu Raheem Hussain thanked the President Yameen for the project.
