Maumoon faction of PPM forms a new disciplinary committee

Maumoon faction of PPM has formed a new disciplinary committee. The committee was formed in a meeting held by the council of Maumoon faction today.
Even though, PPM is being administered by President Yameen after Civil Court ordered to do so, President Maumoon is fighting in the court to appeal that order. Maumoon is also conducting various activities to strengthen his grip on the party.
According to the party by laws, the disciplinary committee of the party should be formed by the council of the party. However, Maumoon has made a new disciplinary committee without taking this into consideration.
Political observers say that the rift between Maumoon and President Yameen has reached to a point of no return and that it will be highly unlikely that Maumoon will endorse President Yameen in 2018 presidential elections.
