MTCC has introduced a Yanmar engine with 35 horsepower specially for small vessels.

In a ceremony held at MTCC’s Kashavaru Showroom this morning, they said that the engine was specially designed by Yanmar on a request of MTCC to be used in vessels that are smaller than 35 feet.

MTCC said that the price of the engine will be around 200,000 Rufiyaa. Also, that it will be fuel efficient and easy to maintain. They said that hence this engine is a totally new product, they will test it on boats before releasing it to market. They said that even now it can be ordered and those who order first will get special benefits.

MTCC said that the previous 60 HP Yanmar engine designed by Yanmar with the request from MTCC is also well received in the public.

This is the second such product specially deisgned for Maldivian vessels. Yanmar is the most famous engine brand in Maldives. MTCC even sells spare parts of Yanmar engines.

MTCC provides repair services to Yanmar and Suzuki engines and also train people all over the country to service these products.
