President Yameen have stated that tax systems in various developed countries will not give subsidies to rich people like Bill Gates but instead they will have to pay taxes that will be used as subsidies for others.

The president said that rich people will have to pay taxes from their salaries and as well from the revenue of their companies.

The president said that in Maldives also the government is introducing such systems to give subsidies. He said that some people think that all citizens deserve subsidies. He said that it is not how it should be.

In addition the president said that some services that are now provided at IGMH with foreign collaboration could not be provided in a near future if we have to wait for trained Maldivians. He said that if these services were not started Maldivians will still have to travel abroad for these services.

President also said that the government does not discriminate among citizens when providing services. He said that the government does not consider the political party a citizen belongs to when providing services.

President said that those who are spreading false information about the government's services are those people who failed to provide services to the people when they had the chance to do so.
