Qasim Ibrahim’s investigation has started again and he has been asked to present himself at the police station at 4:00 pm today.

Qasim’s lawyer Hisaan Hussein said that the police decided to start the investigation again because Qasim was detained earlier this month unlawfully and hence investigations carried out in that manner will be invalid.

Hisaan said that Qasim cannot be prosecuted based on an invalid investigation. However, his trial has begun on 13th of this month in the criminal court. The criminal court begun the trial after a day the High Court ordered to free Qasim and stated that his detention was unlawful.

Criminal Court gave 10 days for Qasim to answer the charges that are against him.
