Mifco’s fish carrier will arrive in Maldives on 3rdMay : Shaheer

Chairman of MIFCO Ahmed Shaheer have said that the fish carrier ordered by MIFCO will arrive in Maldives on 3rd May.
The purpose of the carrier is to store fish when, the storage facilities of MIFCO and private companies are full in high seasons.
Speaking at a press held at STO head office, Shaheer said that fishing in southern atoll is at an all-time high in the last 11 years.
Shaheer said that the work of the cold storage in Hulhumeedhoo is going on and it will be completed on time. He said that, with the cold storage, unforeseen problems will be resolved. In addition, Shaheer said that the young team of Mifco is very capable and that the company is being administered professionally. He also assured that event though MIFCO is a subsidiary of STO the shareholders of STO will not face any losses.
“This will result in more profits to STO. STO’s fuel can be sold. Fishermen will benefit it. Also, we will get foreign currency easily. This will be a huge development to STO” said Shaheer.
