Villa College and Sun Island signs an MOU

Villa College and Sun Island has signed an MOU. Under this MOU some tourism related courses of Villa College will be conducted at the Knowledge Village of Sun Island.

In a ceremony held at the QI campus of Villa College, the MOU was signed by Dr.Ali Najeeb the executive director of Villa College. GM of Sun Island Dr.Abdullah Mausoom signed on behalf of the resort.

In addition Sun Island will also sponsor 12 students from the Certificate Level 3 hospitality course conducted by Villa College. Executive director of Villa College Dr.Ali Najeeb said that even though they are starting from a certificate level 3 course they are trying to conduct certificate 4, advance, diploma and degree courses. He said that this course will have 30 placements and those who complete the course will get jobs from resorts easily.

Speaking at the ceremony, the General Manager of Sun Island, Dr.Abdullah Mausoom said that many new things will be learned when the courses are completed at the resort. He said that those students who receive the sponsorship will get a stipend of 2500 Rufiyaa and the course fee as well.

In addition, he said that those who do not get the sponsorship will have the option to work at Sun Island for 6 months to pay for the fees. He said that the Knowledge Village at Sun Island is very suitable for studies.
