JP have stated that their leader Qasim Ibrahim will take part in the Opposition gathering to be held at MDP Haruge tonight.
Secretory General of JP, Ahmed Sameer said that JP is happy that the Criminal Court cancelled the conditions set by the court after it was revealed that the police provided false information at the criminal court. He said that this also proves that Qasim will not engage in any unlawful activities.
Sameer said that JP and the coalition parties are proud of the courage shown by Qasim in the small cell of Dhoonidhoo. He also thanked Allah for his blessings.
Qasim was kept in a small cell of 6feet by 8 feet for more than 25 days. Qasim was detained for 6 days unlawfully and the second time he was detained for 19 days based on a police intelligence report.
