World Bank to assist Maldives in waste management

World Bank has decided to assist Maldives in waste management. World Bank will assist Maldives by giving 17.5 million dollars.

A statement by the World Bank says that the board of directors of the bank has decided to provide 17.5 million dollars to Maldives to manage waste in an environmental friendly manner. World Bank also praise the policies of President Yameen’s government in managing waste in a sustainable manner.

Last May, Finance Ministry stated that even IDB has decided to provide loans to manage waste in Maldives.
