Deputy Leader of JP, Dr.Hussein Rasheed have said that the leader of JP Qasim Ibrahim is not in the best health to attend the hearing.

Dr.Hussein said that Qasim was discharged from the hospital because he could not be kept there anymore but those who saw him today will know that Qasim is not in the best of health.

Dr.Hussein said that when someone is taken to a hearing, it is important to consider that person’s health and a lot of people are worried that the trial is being conducted while Qasim is not feeling well. Dr.Hussein said that it is also important for Qasim to get justice.

“He is being charged for something he said publicly at a political rally. Senior officials of the government has talked in the same regard. People who confessed to have bribed others are also not being investigation” he said that this is a matter of great concern.

Dr.Hussein expressed concerns for not investigating cases of such people and for charging opposition politicians based on intelligence reports.
