MMA has issued the newly made 5 Rufiyaa notes to the public. This note is the last note of Ran Dhihafahe series of notes.
With the introduction of 5 Rufiyaa notes, paper notes will no longer be used in Maldives. However the old 5 Rufiyaa notes will still be accepted till 31st December 2017.

The newly introduced Ran Dhihafaheh series notes have been nominated for various international awards in the past two years.
