PPM to hold a nationwide sporting competition!

PPM has decided to hold a nationwide sporting competition. The competitions will be held by choosing teams from all the islands and at atoll level and in zone level.
Speaking at a press conference held today, the Deputy Leader of PPM Abdul Raheem said that both men and women can take part in the competitions. He said that futsal will be organized for men while volley ball will be organized for women.
He said that champions of the atoll level competitions will get RF 50,000, runner-up team will get 30,00 and that 20,000 will be offered for the third place. Meanwhile RF 100,000 is offered for the champion team in the zone level, 75,0000 for the runner-up team and 50,000 for the third place. Furthermore, a champion team will be selected among the zone champion and 200,000 will be offered as price money.
Abdul Raheem said that this is the most expensive sporting event in the Maldives. He said that the purpose of this competition is to engage the youth in beneficial activities.
