Resort developed at Ga.Kooddoo has been officially opened. This is the first resort in the Maldives to be opened on the same island with a domestic airport.

The resort was developed by Kion Hong company of Singapore and has 58 rooms and 43 water villas. Twenty rooms consist for a 6 by 3 meter swimming pool and also there is a 50 meter beachfront swimming pool. In addition, the resort has sporting arenas, padi dive center and high-end restaurants.

The resort opened with a special promotion. Under the promotion bed and breakfast for two people for a night will cost 220 dollars.

Kooddoo also has a state run fish canning factory.
