Environment Minister Thoriq have stated that the biggest challenge in waste management is the lack of awareness among the public regarding waste management.

The minister said that, to overcome this challenge, one of the most important activities they planned for this year is to create awareness among school students. He said that the 3R competition organized in schools this year aimed at raising awareness. He said that through such programs children will familiarize themselves with such concepts and then pass the message to their families as well.

Environment Minister said that the competition will also increase the technical capacity of the students and also will aid them to use the 3R effectively in their lives. He also said that this will also help students to learn how manage and recycle waste.
