Opposition parties have protested in front of Maldivian Embassy in Colombo.

The protest was led by Member of Parliament Ahmed Mahloof. The protestors called to free political prisoners and to stop prosecuting politicians.

Ahmed Mahloof said that they took permission from relevant authorities of Sri Lanka to hold the protest.

Some parliament members, and senior figures of MDP administration and former heads of independent institutions took part in the protest.
