Faris Maumoon’s bribery case hearing scheduled for today has been cancelled after the state requested for cancellation.

A premilinary hearing was scheduled for this morning. The purpose of the hearing is to submit motions by Faaris Maumoon before the actual trial begins. However the Criminal Court postponed the hearing after the state requested for it.

According to sources, the state requested to postpone it because the PG lawyer working on the case is abroad at the moment.
