Deputy President of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Muavviz Rasheed have said that all the countries should work against corruption.

He made this statement while speaking at the ceremony held to mark world anti-corruption day. He said that everyone should think about the dangers of corruption, on anti-corruption day.

“We have to do a lot of work to eradicate corruption from Maldives” said Muavviz. He said that most suspects of corruption cases are state officials. He said that state officials should refrain from such acts and be an example to the society.

He also said that ordinary individuals are also increasingly taking part in corrupt activities and they should refrain from that.

In today’s ceremony, certificates of recognition were given to different people who assisted the commission in different ways.
