Former Home Minister Umar Naseer have said that he will join JP officially on Thursday.
Speaking to Miadhu News, he said that there will be a ceremony held at 4:00 pm on Thursday where he will sign JP. Many people are criticizing Umar’s decision.
Umar said that he has no personal problem with any political party and that he intends to take part in the presidential elections in 2018.
“ The country will benefit when there is a competitive election. I am not doing this to compete any specific person or group. The country will benefit when JP is stronger. That is why I am working to make JP the strongest opposition party in the Maldives” said Umar Naseer.
