Delegation from the Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia visits Maldives

A delegation from the Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia has visited Maldives on an invitation by the Islamic Ministry of Maldives.
The delegation includes Sheikh Mohammed Hamadh Al Makhnooh and Sheikh Fahd Al Sulaihim, who are both advisors at the Islamic ministry of Saudi Arabia.
The purpose of the visit is to see how people are buried in Male’ area and to discuss how it can be arranged better than now. The delegation paid a visit to Islamic Minister Dr.Ahmed Ziyad Baqir today. During the visit they discussed about join-programs that will be conducted by Saudi Islamic Affairs and Maldives Islamic Ministry.
Some of the programs include different workshops for Maldivian scholars and donating religious textbooks to Maldives.
The delegation gave technical expertise on how to burry people in a more efficient manner than now. The delegation paid a visit to the new cemetery in Male’. The delegation will be meeting with religious scholars of Maldives tomorrow.
