Staffs of Villa Group starts protesting asking the government not to destroy the tourism of Maldives and the future of staffs of Villa Group.

They are asking the government not to destroy their future for political reasons.

“Investigations by Customs and Police shows that there was nothing illegal going on in the resorts. Stop oppressing the staffs” said a staff member.

The staff say that they are also Maldivian citizens and that they left their islands and came to the resorts to make a living. They said that if the resort operations are halted their families will suffer. They say that the government should protect the rights of the staffs of Villa Group.

They are also calling the government to stop intimidating Gasim Ibrahim, the chairman of Villa Group.
