Government of Saudi Arabia has donated religious texts to libraries managed by Islamic Ministry. The books will be used at the ministry’s library, the library of the Islamic center that is being developed at Ungoofaaru, and at the Islamic center in Thinadhoo.

The books were donated during a ceremony held at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia. State Minister Hassan Rasheed and Permanent Secretary Mussab Abdullah accepted the books on behalf of the ministry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mussab Abdullah said that these books will be beneficial for the society and this shows the close relations between the two nations. Saudi Arabia often donates books and provides various other assistances to Maldives.
