World Cup Trophy tour has begun today. The trophy will be taken to 50 countries around the world and it started from the UK. The tour was inaugurated by Sir Geoff Hurst of UK and Andre Pirlo of Italy, both who won the world cup with their respective teams.

The first destination of the trophy is Sri Lanka and then it will be brought to Maldives tomorrow afternoon. Geoff Hurst will come with the trophy. The trophy will be displayed at the national football stadium tomorrow night. The event will be open to the public and entry will be based on a first come first serve basis.

In addition, tickets will be sold to those who want to take pictures with the trophy. Photo sessions will be held from morning 8:00 till 5:00 pm.

This year’s world cup will begin on 14th June and will be held in Russia.
