Maldives was ranked at 112th position in Transparency International’s corruption perception index for 2017. Maldives dropped 17 ranks compared to 2016.
Maldives got 33 points in the ranking. In 2016 Maldives was ranked at 95th position. According to Transparency Maldives, getting below 50 points means Maldives is a country which does not take enough action against corruption.
CPI is calculated by TI based on three sources. They are World Bank’s CPI, Global Insight Country Risk Rating and Varieties of Democracy Project.
