Maldivian the national airline has officially started operating to Thimarafushi Airport at night. The airline’s inaugural flight at night to Tihmarafushi was tonight.

Cabinet ministers, MPs and the media travelled to the island on the flight. Previously flights were operated to the airport only during the day.

Thimarafushi Airport was officially opened by former President Dr.Waheed in 2013. The airport was developed by MTCC. President Yameen’s administration conducted the project to install lights on the runway of the airport.
