Sri Lankan ambassador to the Maldives Major General (Rtd.) Thoradeniya has met with speaker of the parliament Qasim Ibrahim today.

During the meeting, they discussed on ways to strengthen the relation between the two countries. The meeting was held at the People’s Majlis today. They talked about the strong relations between the two countries. 

In addition, Speaker Qasim thanked the Sri Lankan ambassador for his role in sustaining the friendly relations between Maldives and Sri Lanka. 

Sri Lankan Ambassador noted that Maldives is a popular destination for Sri Lankans and stated that there are close relations between the peoples of these two countries. He also thanked the cooperation given by the government of Maldives in strengthening the relations between Maldives and Sri Lanka.
