A team of foreign experts has visited Kulhudhuhfushi to preserve the wetlands of the island.

The experts belong to Mangrove Action project, an international network that advocates to protect wetlands and mangroves. They were accompanied by a team of Save Maldives.

The experts will spend four days to conduct research. 

Parts of the wetland was reclaimed to develop the airport of Kulhudhuhfushi during President Yameen’s administration.
