Saaidh finishes sixth in the semi-final of 100m event of the Asian Athletics Championship

Number one sprinter of the Maldives, Hassan Saaidh finished sixth in the semi-final of the 100m event of the Asian Athletics Championship. 

With this, Saaid had to say goodbye to the 100m event. Saaidh finished in 10.56 seconds. Only the fastest two players of the heat qualifies for the final. Yamagata Rayota of Japan, and Kim of Korea were the two finalists in that hear. 

In the 2017 Asian Championship held in India, Saaid competed in the finals and finished the event at 4th place. 

Saaidh will also be taking part in the Indian Ocean Island Games that will be held in Mauritius in July. He won gold medal from the 100m category of the Indian Ocean Island Games in 2015 and silver medal in the 200 meter category.
