A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation and the Economic Ministry of the Maldives. 

A ceremony was held at Hotel Jen today to sign the MOU. Economic Minister Fayyaz signed on behalf of Maldives while Xeng Mao the Chinese Minister for Market Regulation signed on behalf of Maldives. 

According to Economic Ministry, China will assist Maldives in developing SMEs, and in the fields of standards and consumer protection. 

In addition, officials and experts of both countries will conduct bilateral visits and get opportunities for training in various fields.
