President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of sympathy to the Prime Minister of Nepal, His Excellency K.P. Sharma Oli, following devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.

The President’s message reads as follows:

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal, causing loss of life, injury to many, and extensive damage to property and infrastructure.

At this time of national distress, the Government and the people of Maldives join me in conveying our profound sympathy to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Nepal. I wish every success to the rescue and recovery efforts of those who are directly affected by this tragedy.

Please also convey our sincere condolences to the members of the bereaved families.”
