The financial committee of the parliament has decided to summon Abdullah Ashraf the former head of the Financial Intelligence Unit of MMA and Abdullah Naseer the governor of Maldives Monetary Authority.
They are being summoned to the committee after Abdullah Ashraf sent a letter to the parliament committee making serious allegations against Abdullah Naseer.
The letter states that the governor requested Ashraf not to report high profile cases until the presidential election was over. He said that he filed various cases of former President Yameen to the police. The letter further states that Naseer dismissed Ashraf over the matter.
The governor replied to the allegations in writing to the committee, but the committee has decided to summon both of them for a hearing.
