President Yameen has filed a complaint of PG lawyer Aishath Mohammed at the Supreme Court.

Aishath Mohammed represented the PG in president Yameen’s money laundering case. 

President Yameen’s lawyers stated that Aishath Mohammed presented incorrect information at a hearing requesting to detain the former president. 

His lawyers stated that Aishath Mohammed accused President Yameen of influencing the witnesses, but the High Court verdict shows that President Yameen was not guilty of any such acts. Hence, President Yameen’s lawyers view this as contempt of court and requested the Supreme Court to investigate the matter. 

President Yameen’s lawyer Abdullah Shiyaz said that he believes that the court can investigate the matter since it happened inside the court.
