President Solih has sent the names of the nominees for the Information Commissioner position to the parliament. 

The president sent 4 names to the parliament out of the people who applied for the position. They are Hussein Fiyaz Moosa, Ahmed Fayyaz Hassan, Ahmed Ahidh Rasheed and Fathimath Sausan. 

The parliament has forwarded the names to the independent institution committee of the parliament for further review. 

The present information commission Abdul Azeez Jamaal Aboobakr’s term ended on 22nd July.
