Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid has stated that the government received MVR 1.9 billion as aid in the first three months.

He made this statement while speaking at the parliament yesterday. He said that the President Yameen’s administration received this amount in 4 years. 

In addition he said that so far the Foreign Ministry spent MVR 7.5 million on travels while former administration spent 27 million Rufiyaa in one year. 

Speaking about the statements made by the foreign minister, former Economic Minister Mohammed Saeed said that the minister lied while speaking at the parliament and the figures he told in the parliament are inaccurate.
