Former Home Minister Azleen Ahmed stated that Qasim Ibrahim served the people the most. He made this statement while speaking at a ceremony held by JP to welcome new members who joined the part.

Azleen said that JP always welcomes other people despite their past and without any conditions. He said that Qasim serves the people in the national interest and he is an exemplary person in serving the country.

In addition he said that Qasim never takes anything personal despite differences in political views. “I do not believe that it is the right thing to stay in a party when I believe that the leadership of the party is not doing the right thing” said Azleen. 

He also noted that all the parties which won the elections after multi party system was introduced in the Maldives had JP’s help.
