Japan donates medical equipment to Maldives

The government of Japan has donated medical equipment worth MVR 41,427,540 to the Maldives. 

The government of Japan donated these equipment under the Economic and Social Development Program 2018. 

In a ceremony held today, the equipment was handed over to the Maldives officially by the Japanese Ambassador to the Maldives. Minister of Health Abdullah Ameen accepted the equipment on behalf of the government of Maldives. 

Equipment donated by Japan includes defibrillator, dental units, dental octaves, dental x ray film developers, ultrasound scanner, portable ultra sound scanner, transportable incubators, portable digital x ray and emergency transport ventilator. 

In addition Japan has decided to donate 21 paramedic ambulance to Maldives.
