A 47 year old Bangladeshi man has entered a house in Male’ and sexually abused a 14 year old girl. 

Maldives Police Service has arrested the man and the Criminal Court has ordered to remand the man for 10 days according to Maldives Police Service. 

The case was reported to MPS on 2nd September at 7 pm. 

According to sources the Bangladeshi is known to the family of the house. He abused the girl whole he was alone in the sitting room.

It was her father who apprehended the Bangladeshi and handed him over to police. 

Crimes committed by Bangladeshis in Maldives are on the rise in the last few years. Many people have complained of this issue. The authorities are yet to find a solution to this problem.
