His Excellency Major General (Retd) B.R.W.M.R.A.B Thoradeniya, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Maldives, has made a farewell call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.

During the meeting, the President conveyed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the immense efforts made by the Ambassador to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries, and the generous support he has extended to the Maldives during his ambassadorial tenure. Moreover, he expressed his sincere hope that Maldives and Sri Lanka will always remain close friends and partners.

Ambassador Thoradeniya stated that it has been his pleasure to serve the Sri Lankan government as their chosen representative to the Maldives.

The call ended with the President wishing the Ambassador success in all his future endeavours.
