Gdh.Thinadhoo court has ordered to detain the man who mocked Islam.

Yesterday Maldives Police Service Arrested a man from Gdh.Thinadhoo for mocking Islam. He was taken to court today and the judge ordered to investigate the matter after detaining him up to 15 days. 

The man is a 36 year old Maldivian from Maldives. He has declared himself as an atheist. He also confessed to spreading anti-Islamic views in the island. 

A member of the Thinadhoo Island Council stated that the man started living in the island very recently and that he returned to the island because he was receiving threats for his anti-Islamic views.
