Maldives Transport and Construction Company has begun the construction work of Ha.Kelaa and N.Henbadhoo.

According to MTCC, the cost of Kelaa harbor project is 14.7 million Rufiyaa and a total of 16264 cubic meters of land will be reclaimed. In addition revetment will be placed and a 30.50 meter wide channel break water will be developed as well. The project is to be completed within 240 days. 

The Henbadhoo harbor project costs 26.6 million Rufiyaa and should be completed within 300 days. A total area of 44616.12 cubic meter land will be reclaimed under this project and revetments will also be placed. 

These two projects are being conducted after conducting an environmental impact assessment.
