Islamic Ministry has distributing Zakat Al-Mal to the poor in Male. According to the Islamic Ministry this year 1716 people registered as poor people and each person will be given MVR 2000 this year. 

Islamic Ministry is distributing the money from 9:30 am till 1430 today and tomorrow at Islamic Center. 

Islamic Ministry has stated that they haven’t decided when to begin distributing Zakat in the islands as there are still many problems with the lists of people who deserves Zakat.
