ACC concludes 177 cases in the third quarter

Anti-Corruption Commission of the Maldives has concluded 177 cases in the third quarter of this year.
According to statistics published by the ACC, they concluded 532 cases from January till September of this year. Out of those 532 cases, 177 cases were concluded in the third quarter. Out of these 177 cases, the commission concluded that 176 cases does not involve any incidents of corruption. ACC decided to forward one case to the Prosecutor General’s office for prosecution.
In the same period last year, ACC concluded 320 cases and hence there is a decrease in cases concluded this year.
Furthermore, ACC gave instructions to 59 state agencies to take rectifying measures.
