Maldives has lost to Philippines in the FIFA World Cup qualifying match played today. Philippines scored 2 goals against the Maldives while Maldives scored only one goal.

With this loss it will be very hard for Maldives to qualify for the world cup. At the moment Maldives is in the 4th place of the group. There are 5 teams in the group and Philippines is in the third place while Syria is in the first place.

Maldives will play another match next week, against Guam which is in the 5th place of the group. So far Maldives won only one match out of the 4 matches played in the qualification stage.
