A man has been found dead after jumping off a dinghy. 

As per the Maldivian National Defence Force, the dinghy was travelling to Thilafushi from Male’ with ten passengers on board. 

The man jumped into the sea off the dinghy while it was travelling to Thilafushi. The matter was reported to authorities around at 3:16pm. 

The Coast Guard divers were dispatched to find the man. They found him around at 4:10pm under the sea and he was dead when they found him.

Maldives Police Service is now investigating the matter.
