Addu City Council has decided to lease land from 5 areas for tourism. 

A special meeting was held by Addu City Council yesterday to give information about the program. The City Council will lease a total of 96 land plots from 5 areas of Addu. Under this program city hotels and guest houses will be developed and the total bed capacity of Addu will rise to 4000. At the moment the bed capacity of Addu City is 1118. 

The name of the project is Addu Open for Tourism. Under this project land will be leased from Hithadhoo, Feydhoo, Hulhudhoo, Meedhoo and Maradhoo.
